The first day of the event will be dedicated to the EGNOS Service Provision Workshop, with an overview of the last 12 months performance of EGNOS services, as well as the EGNOS services 2012-2013 roadmap.
The session will also be an occasion to present several success stories of EGNOS implementation as well as an overview of EGNOS implementation projects by GSA/Ineco. A specific part of the workshop will be dedicated to EGNOS for aviation, dealing with EGNOS-based procedures, implementation guidelines and regulatory aspects. An early evening social event in the centre of the Spanish capital will offer a good networking opportunity for participants.
The second day of the event, “Using EGNOS for IFR”, will provide a practical view on EGNOS for pilots, airlines and operators. The session will be co-chaired by the European GNSS Agency (GSA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Topics discussed will include SBAS/EGNOS benefits for pilots, airlines and operators, and a practical session held by EASA on how to certify your aircraft. The session will leave room for discussion and best practice sharing between operators.
