Since its creation, the EU Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) has been increasing access to EU space data and services, not only in Europe, but also around the world. With a new Galileo satellite in orbit, several satnav services in place and plenty of new ones underway, EUSPA’s first year exemplifies its mission of linking space to user needs.

The European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) and the European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA) have signed a cooperation agreement in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), concluded for an initial duration of two years.

The report provides a comprehensive investment analysis of the Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) market that examines and forecasts the dynamics of the sector overall. It also provides the current state-of-play of available public and private funding and identifies needs and funding gaps for GNSS companies and start-ups in the EU.

Two new Galileo satellites were successfully launched from the European spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana on 4 December 2021, bringing the number of Galileo satellites launched to a total of 28 satellites, thereby enabling the provision of more robust services and precise signals across a range of industries

From November 4 to 6, we are bringing the power of the EU Space Programme down to Earth! A colourful experience invites you to discover the latest applications and services enabled by Galileo, EGNOS, Copernicus, and GOVSATCOM.
Under a new name and with a broadened scope of activities, EUSPA decided to move its signature event, "Open Days" outside to comply with the current hygiene rules. "EUSPA Open Space" is a walkthrough, open-air exhibition that will introduce visitors to the newly established EU Space Programme as well the agency’s new mission.

The first Horizon Europe call managed by the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) is now open for submissions. With an overall budget of 32.6 million EUR, the call aims at developing innovative downstream applications that leverage data from the EU Space Programme, namely Galileo, EGNOS, and Copernicus. The deadline for applications is 16 February 2022.

The European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) launches #myEUspace competition. The EU prize contest targets innovators and entrepreneurs ready to explore, develop and commercialise innovative solutions that leverage EU Space data and services, going beyond the current space-applications horizon, and fusing and testing new technologies in location-based services, smart mobility, smart agriculture, geomatics, and for the first-time, quantum technologies.
