The Copernicus Demonstrators tool ‘ESG zoning’ enable the assessment of climate risks and environmental impact on assets provided by banking and insurance stakeholders including Raiffeisen Bank.
The solution helps stakeholders to enhance the Environmental pillar of their ESG reporting to meet Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) requirements.
The ESG Zoning Tool leverages Copernicus data including Climate, Atmosphere, Land and Emergency to provide comprehensive impact and risk assessments on areas across the Czech Republic, with potential for broader geographical coverage.
The solution offers dual visualization capabilities: a Zoning View for aggregated property data and an Indicator View showing native resolution satellite data, enabling detailed environmental impact and climate risk assessments.
The validation phase of the tool was centred around a close partnership with Banks including Komerční banka, Raiffeisen Bank, Moneta Money Bank and Československá obchodní banka, ensuring the Tool effectively met specific user needs through tailored functionality and feedback integration
