Copernicus Demonstrators

The EUSPA Copernicus Demonstrators are designed to show how businesses can benefit from using data from the EU’s Earth Observation programme, Copernicus. By working closely with companies in key industries, these demonstrators highlight real-world advantages, including cost savings and more efficient processes, that Copernicus data can bring. Some of the tools might require registration.

The platform supports planning and development of renewable energy projects. By combining geospatial data from Copernicus CLMS, C3S, CAMS, and CMEMS with local and regulatory information, the users can optimise site selection, estimate energy potential, and streamline environmental assessments. Data-driven decisions reduce permitting delays, minimize investment risks, and avoid non-viable sites, enhancing project performance and ROI.

This tool supports seaweed farming operations by integrating data from Copernicus CMEMS and EMODnet. Using EO data, it monitors key ocean and water quality parameters, identifies seasonal and spatial patterns, and provides near-real-time and historical insights. This helps farmers make smarter and more efficient decisions.
