Step Inside EU Space at EUSPA Open Days 2025
On 21–22 November 2025, the EU Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) will open the doors of its Prague headquarters to the public. Over two Open Days, visitors will have the opportunity to discover how the EU Space Programme supports everyday life in Europe and beyond, meet EUSPA experts, and experience what space has to offer in an interactive way.
This year’s programme combines hands-on demonstrations, family-friendly activities and informative sessions. Visitors can explore an immersive tunnel showcasing the various components of the EU Space Programme, as well as 3D holograms of EU-operated satellites. They can experience Earth in mixed reality, visit our Career Corner and test their knowledge with quizzes and encryption games. Presentations, a kids’ space and a treasure hunt will highlight how EU Space technologies support security, sustainability and innovation across the EU.
With the EUSPA Open Days 2025, we want to bring EU Space closer to people. Our goal is to give everyone the chance to experience EU Space first-hand and see how it delivers tangible benefits and essential services that support our everyday lives.
Rodrigo da Costa, EUSPA Executive Director
Open Days give us the chance to connect with citizens and partners, and to demonstrate how trust and security underpin every aspect of the EU Space Programme. Through independent security accreditation, we ensure that European Union’s space services remain not only innovative, but also dependable and secure for all users.
Philippe Bertrand, Chair of the EUSPA Security Accreditation Board (SAB)
Throughout the event, EUSPA experts will host sessions on the EU Space Programme and EUSPA’s role in delivering operational services, with English–Czech interpretation. Participants will learn about Galileo and EGNOS satellite navigation, the Copernicus Earth observation programme, secure satellite communications, space surveillance and tracking, and the growing downstream market for space data and services.
The programme is designed for a wide audience. On Friday 21 November, the morning and early afternoon (09:00–16:00) are dedicated to organised school visits, featuring tailored presentations on the EU, EUSPA and the EU Space Programme (The 600 available places for pupils are already full). From 16:00 to 18:00 on Friday, the doors open to the general public. On Saturday 22 November, EUSPA HQ will welcome visitors of all ages from 09:00 to 18:00.
