EGNOS RIMS Sites
EGNOS Ranging Integrity Monitoring Stations (RIMS) are part of the EGNOS infrastructure.
The stations are used to collect measurements from GPS satellites and transmit this raw data to the Mission Control Centres every second.
The EGNOS infrastructure is comprised of:
- A ground network of about 40 RIMS
- 6 navigation land earth stations (NLES)
- 2 mission control centres
- An Operations Coordination Centre and a Service Centre
- Signal transponders on 3 geostationary satellites operated by SATCOM service providers
