VYTIS-AR
Project Details
Precise Point Positioning (PPP) method is one of actual and demanded methods of computing Position, navigation and timing in GNSS eguipment. Introduction of High Accuracy Service (HAS) in Galileo service portfolio with free of charge decimeter level high accuracy became a breakthrough technological advance for current and new potential applications especially for small farms with a limited budget.
However, HAS-enabled precision navigation modules, which operate on triple frequency, have technical characteristics of professional equipment and at same time are for an affordable price, are absent on the market.
Vytis-AR project develops a universal high precision RTK/PPP (HAS-enabled) GNSS-INS receiver with OSNMA authentication for agriculture applications.
Based on an original PPP algorithm that makes optimal use of PPP data provided by Galileo HAS, the Vytis-AR aims to improve the efficiency of navigation receivers and the availability of high accuracy navigation systems for agricultural applications.
The innovations introduced in this project are based on the processing of Galileo HAS data, which have advantages such as global availability, no radio licensing or local frequency requirements, or no radio, cellular or WiFi coverage issues.
Furthermore, a new Vytis-AR GNSS receiver is conceived to maximize advantages provided by Galileo in agricultural applications such as Farm Machinery Guidance, VRA-low applications, Soil sampling and Geo-traceability.
Challenge and technical solution
The project will develop specific multicore baseband ASIC with HAS signal demodulation IP block of HAS data received through EG Signal in Space or through Network Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol (NTRIP), and IP cryptographic block for OSNMA implementation.
Part of the solution is development of specific RF Front-End ASIC with input splitter.
