A EUR 10,000 cash prize is on offer to agricultural students and young farmers across Europe. The ‘Farming by Satellite’ award, an initiative of the GSA is sponsored by agricultural machinery manufacturer CLAAS and crop science experts Bayer.

On 15th May the European GNSS Agency (GSA) launched a public consultation on the Galileo Commercial Service (CS). Businesses and service providers throughout the European Union are invited to share their views, ideas, and potential requirements, to help build this high-performing service targeted at commercial applications.

The project CLOSE-SEARCH, led by the Institute of Geomatics (Spain), will soon come to an end. The project supports the development of an unmanned vehicle prototype to detect people lost in difficult to access areas by means of body heat detection
