The European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) has signed a new launch contract with Arianespace for the deployment of the second pair of Galileo Second Generation satellites, known as Galileo L18, to be launched aboard an Ariane 6 launcher under the delegation of the European Commission, strengthening Europe’s strategic autonomy.

The successful launch of Galileo L14 marks another key milestone for the European Union’s flagship satellite navigation system, reinforcing the programme’s mission to deliver safe, secure and world-leading navigation services to millions of users worldwide. On 21–22 November 2025, the EU Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) will open the doors of its Prague headquarters to the public. Over two Open Days, visitors will have the opportunity to discover how the EU Space Programme supports everyday life in Europe and beyond, meet EUSPA experts, and experience what space has to offer in an interactive way.
