SORUS, a GNSS-powered safety application that enables Galileo Public Regulated Service (PRS) navigation for a wide range of users, was awarded the overall prize at this year’s European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC) at a ceremony held on November 7 as part of the Satellite Masters Conference & Horizon 2020 Space Info Day at European Space Week 2017 in Tallinn, Estonia.

The latest recruitment drive for Space3ac, a three-month acceleration programme for start-ups using satellite technologies to create solutions for the intermodal transportation, oil and gas and insurance sectors, is set to end at midnight on Tuesday, 31 October. Interested start-ups with capabilities to solve problems provided by industry partners should “raise their hands” and register (by filling out a short form) on the programme’s website. The recruitment process will continue with interviews and meetings on 20-21 November.
